Taliban Forces Evict Khatam al-Nabieen Religious Seminary
Local sources in Kabul say that forces from the Taliban’s Ministry of Justice have completely evicted the Khatam al-Nabieen Religious Seminary.
According to the sources, the Taliban had given students until around 10:00 a.m. today (Monday, September 7) to leave the seminary, but later in the afternoon, they forcibly removed them from the premises.
The sources say that the Taliban have currently given only some of the seminary’s teachers additional time to leave because their homes are located inside the compound. All other people have been forced to leave.
Forces from the Taliban’s Ministry of Justice raided the Khatam al-Nabieen Religious Seminary in Kabul two days ago and surrounded the building.
Following the raid, local sources reported that 28 teachers at the seminary had also been detained by the Taliban. There is still no information about their whereabouts or fate.
The Taliban’s Ministry of Justice has not yet officially commented on the raid or the eviction of the Khatam al-Nabieen Religious Seminary.
In 2024, the Taliban claimed that the seminary had been built on government-owned land. However, its officials and trustees say they possess religious and legal documents proving that the land does not belong to the government.
