Universities, schools and educational centers are closed in 16 provinces.

The Ministry of Public Health has reported that the growing number of people infected with the Corona virus has caused serious concern to the health sector and Government of Afghanistan and has sounded a serious alarm.

The number of patients with Covid disease is increasing by 19 daily, the ministry said in a statement.
According to Ministry of Public Health, to reduce the spread of virus and control the current situation, from today, Saturday, June 8, all universities, schools, public and private courses in 16 provinces will be closed for two weeks.
Training centers in Kabul, Ghazni, Helmand, Kandahar, Logar, Nangarhar, Paktia, Parwan, Maidan Wardak, Panjshir, Balkh, Laghman, Badakhshan, Kapisa, Kunduz and Nimruz provinces will not be open for two weeks from today.

Ministry of Public Health has stressed the need for people to work together to adhere to principles of preventing coronavirus, including maintaining social distance, washing hands and wearing masks.
