Taliban delegation went to Ashgabat at the official invitation of Turkmenistan.

Following the Taliban’s tour of the region, a delegation from the group’s political office headed by Shir Mohammad Abbas Stanekzai has traveled to Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan. Mohammad Naeem, spokesman for the Taliban’s political office in Qatar, tweeted that the visit took place on Saturday, July 10, at the official invitation of Turkmenistan. He wrote that the Taliban delegation met with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan on Sunday. According to him, political, economic and security issues were discussed in detail during the meeting.
