Floods in Nuristan leave at least 40 dead
Saeedullah Nuristani, head of the Nuristan Provincial Council, said that about 40 people had been killed in floods in the Kamdish district of the province on Wednesday, 28 July.
He added that about 80 houses in the district had been destroyed and more than 150 people were missing, and that 40 bodies had been found so far.
He added that the death toll was likely to rise.
