Umrah begins again

Saudi Arabia will begin receiving Umrah pilgrimage requests from abroad for vaccinated worshippers starting August 9.
After a one-and-a-half-year hiatus during the Umrah pilgrimage to prevent the spread of the corona, the Saudi government will issue visas for Hajj pilgrims starting tomorrow, Monday, August 9, provided they are vaccinated and agree to quarantine.

Last year, Hajj was banned for foreign pilgrims, and only Saudi domestic pilgrims could perform Hajj under strict health conditions.
The annual Hajj is worth billions of dollars to Saudi Arabia, but the corona outbreak has suspended the event.
