Poland Detains 45 Irregular Migrants, Including Afghan Nationals
Poland’s Border Guard has announced the detention of 45 irregular migrants, including Afghan nationals, who allegedly crossed the Poland–Lithuania border illegally over the weekend.
In a post published on X on Monday, the Border Guard said the detained individuals did not possess valid documents allowing them to stay in or transit through Poland.
Authorities also reported the arrest of a Ukrainian woman on suspicion of smuggling four irregular migrants.
The migrants were detained on different days and at various locations along the Poland–Lithuania border.
According to the Border Guard, those detained include nationals of Somalia, Sudan, Ethiopia, and Afghanistan.
