Tamadon TV Announces Suspension of Broadcasts Following Taliban Raid

Tamadon TV, a private television network in Afghanistan, has announced that its broadcasts have been suspended after Taliban fighters raided the station’s headquarters.

In a statement posted on its Facebook page on Tuesday, June 23, Tamadon TV said that Taliban fighters stormed its central office, forcing the channel to halt its broadcasts.

The broadcaster noted that the raid took place as the days of mourning for Tasu’a and Ashura of Imam Hussein were approaching.

Tamadon TV called on the public to closely monitor the situation and remain vigilant regarding further developments.

The Taliban have not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident.
