Taliban abduct female member of Khost provincial council, Zahra Jalal,with five of her companions in Logar while she was traveling to Kabul The Interior Ministry has announced that Zahra Jalal, a member of the Khost Provincial Council, has been released from the Taliban. The statement said that Zahra Jalal and five of her companions were released and transferred to a safe place as a result of the reconnaissance and operational efforts of the security forces and the close cooperation of the local elders.Ms. Jalal was traveling in a private car from Kabul to Khost province when she and five other people were abducted by the Taliban in the area of Sayyid Habibullah in central Logar on Tuesday morning.
