Sweden helped Afghanistan with 124,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccine.
A consignment of corona vaccine donated by Sweden to the Afghan government has been handed over to the Ministry of Public Health.
The Ministry of Health announced on Thursday (29 July) that the consignment includes 124,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine and the process of its implementation is scheduled to begin next Saturday in health centers.
Dr. Dastgir Nazari, Head of Katlovi’s exemption and spokesman for the Ministry of Public Health, thanked Sweden on behalf of the Ministry of Public Health and the Government of Afghanistan for this assistance and called the corona vaccine the most effective way to reduce the corona virus.
Dr. Nazari said that this amount of vaccine is applicable to people who have already received the first dose of AstraZeneca and were unable to receive the second dose due to lack of vaccine.
He added that two more consignments of AstraZeneca vaccine from Kovacs will be delivered to Afghanistan in the near future.
