The US Embassy urges US citizens to leave Afghanistan immediately using the available commercial flight options.
The embassy said in a statement issued today (Saturday, August 7) that the embassy’s ability to assist American citizens in Afghanistan, even inside Kabul, is very limited due to the security situation and the reduction in manpower.
The embassy said the US embassy could provide repatriation loans to US citizens who are currently unable to purchase business tickets to the United States.
Embassy added in the statement that, domestic flights and land transport routes outside Kabul are severely restricted and may be canceled or closed.
